Story
As the Premier League clubs continue planning to restart the
2019/20 season behind closed doors, many clubs including Liverpool, Everton, Man Utd & Man City will be issuing refunds for Season Ticket holders for their remaining four or five home games. This is money already paid out by supporters at the beginning of the season.
The Covid-19 crisis has had a financial impact on many
charity based organisations, including our local Halton Haven Hospice. Events like the London Marathon and Manchester Marathon have been cancelled, which would usually raise millions of pounds for similar charities around the whole country.
Football fans often unfairly get given a bad name yet more often than not, when they work together they can have a positive impact on supporting charities and helping people.
I would like to suggest local football fans temporarily
put rivalries aside and come together to support Halton Haven Hospice.
If you have had a season ticket refund, why not donate the value of one game (or any amount that you can afford), to support Halton Haven Hospice.
OR
...as not all football fans are fortunate to get tickets, and rely on Sky Sports or BT to watch their favourite or rival teams, then some TV sports subscriptions have also been refunded. Why not (IF you can afford to) support Halton Haven this way with a donation?
At this time of crisis, Halton Haven Hospice need support more than ever. The cost of a match ticket, Sky Sports subscription, a match programme, a bet, a pint or even a pie would make a big difference.
Please consider making a donation to help them continue our work for the families of Halton.
