Fundraising for East Anglia's Children's Hospices
Well I have done it and loved it so am off in a couple of weeks for a re-run in london, so you are getting more pain for your money.
WHAT, WHERE AND WHEN?
I will be swiming a mile, yes only a mile (64 lengths of crown pools for those that can't picture it) in Alton Water in the 19 June 2010. It will be cold, obviously wet but hopefully not too windy as I have not been practising in the wave pool!
Don't be fooled if you think I have sponsored myself, Claire is too lazy to set up her own account
WHY?
EACH’s hospice in was opened in 1999 and as a pilot project and demand has increased so much over this time that they have simply outgrown it. EACH were very generously donated a four acre plot of land on which they have obtained planning permission for a new 6 bed roomed hospice. They have just launched The Treehouse Appeal to raise the £3million required to be able to build it and need everybody’s help to make this much needed project come to life. This exciting project will enable EACH to provide more care to more families throughout Suffolk and North Essex so please help me to make the new hospice a reality.
