Story

I personally owe Great Ormond Street Hospital more than I can ever repay them. For those of you who don’t know, my identical twin daughters Signe and Mille, were born conjoined. This happens to about one in every 200,000 live births.

They had to be separated, and this involved cutting the base of their spine in half. Any inaccuracy would have meant they would have been disabled, in one way or another.

The skill of the surgeons meant that the 8 hour operation was a complete success.

They not only spared my daughters a lifetime of needing care, but spared us a lifetime of being carers.  It was a very real prospect, and one we were preparing for.

Any print you buy or donation you make will make a difference.

Thank you again, even if you don't want to buy a print, please do leave a donation for my 26 mile London Marathon attempt in April 2012.
