Premia Re are fundraising for The Lily Foundation. Simon and Lucy Pond have committed to run 300 miles between them between now and 31st December 2021 for Around the World for Mito. Together with other supporters we hope to virtually circumnavigate the globe, a total of 24,901 miles! 

Our Son Aidan was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease aged 11 months. He sadly passed away aged just 19 months but our family were supported by The Lily Foundation.

The Lily Foundation funds research into Mitochondrial Disease and other metabolic disorders. It also raises important awareness and supports those families who are affected by mitochondrial disease. Mitochondrial disease affects the powerhouse battery of cells. Cells cannot function properly without healthy mitochondria, so when they fail the consequences can be serious and wide-ranging. There is currently no treatment or cure for this disease and many children across the country are life limited due to Mitochondrial disease
