Plan international do vital work for children living in the poorest of circumstances in many developing countries where they are denied the basics of life.  So please sponsor me, your money will go a very long way to supporting communities, offering children a brighter future.

I've been involved in the work Plan International does to support the poorest children abroad for 15 years, sponsoring a child and thereby supporting the child's community to provide the basics we take for granted such as clean water and education. Running the marathon offers the opportunity to raise bigger sums of money to do more good abroad.

This is also a personal challenge.  I last ran it in 2002, so 16 years on I'm doing it again... only better (I hope).  It's "an itch that needs scratching" and I delighted to be running on behalf of a deserving charity and the deserving children and communities it supports globally.
