Story
In 2018 I took part in my first Swimathon and what was supposed to be 2.5k swim ended up as 400m due to injury.
Earlier this year I took part in my first Triple 5k swim which I did breaststroke and although I completed it I picked up another injury.
Next year I doing the Triple 5k again, but this time front crawl. I only started working on my front crawl in April this year, so I’ve got a bit of work to do to be ready in time. Hopefully I can be ready and hopefully I can do each 5k under 1hr 45mins.
So why am I doing ? Why am I risking another injury ?
Because any injuries I pick up along the way are nothing compared to the upset, pain and suffering being experienced by people (along with their families & friends) living with cancer.
So I’ll swim a bit and see if I can help in some small way.
