Story
It has always been a bit of a 'bucket list' dream to take part in the London Marathon so I consider myself extremely lucky to have the opportunity to achieve my goal and hope that by doing so I can raise funds to enable children across the UK and Ireland achieve theirs.
I'm not what you would call a natural runner but I am certainly a determined trier and I'll get through each and every mile, slowly but surely with a cause as worthy and wonderful as Wooden Spoon as my motivation!
Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby, funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage. Research shows that 1 in 10 children in the UK and Ireland have a disability and there are 3.5 million children in the UK living in poverty. These numbers continue to rise and more and more children need our help. Our vision is that through the power of rugby, every child and young person has access to the same opportunities.
So, please dig as deep as you can. Any donation is so very gratefully receive along with all the 'best of luck' sentiments you can muster!
Thank you so much for your support.
