Simon is one of the most genuine persons anyone could wish to meet - he lived his life with integrity, accountability and example towards others. He bravely fought cancer without complaint appreciating the small things in life and life itself as he has done day by day over the last 38 years. He did not let this experience change who he is, such was his passion for life and fellow human beings.

When Simon was asked if we could do something for charity, he did not want a new charity set up in his name, instead he chose 2 existing charities to which he felt strongly about: Marie Curie and Save the Children.

Through Marie Curie, Simon was able to get special individual attention from the comfort of his home, which for SImon was very important especially in keeping a postive mind and attitude.

Social Justice, being one of the core values and incentives that Simon held, led Save the Children to be his other chosen charity. This organisation does invaluable work with vulnerable children both locally and world wide. Simon's passion for politics was driven by the ideal that everyone in life should have equal opportunities especially in the early stages of life.
