Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Why i'm i attending the Yorkshire 3 Peaks for The National Autistic Society i here you ask?
Autism is another one of those unknown illnesses which is greatly misunderstood.
I too wasn't away of Autism until a teacher at school suggested that my son maybe autistic and after a two year battle with the local health authorities we are nearly at the stage where we will have a proper diagnosis for my son.
To others, who are not aware of autism, it just seems like we have a spoilt, naughty, angry, unfriendly, disruptive, unsociable child and other kids don't understand why my son doesn't want to play or join in, in any activities.
Yes its like living with Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde a small portion of the time but we have the most loving, loyal, affectionate and highly intellectual child i could ever wish for.
That's why i'm taking part, i'm proud of my son for the coping and stay positive most of the time. I'm especially proud of my daughter for helping us by keeping her brother entertained & understanding his weird & unique ways.
So hopefully by attending this event i can help raise the profile of autism and intern improve others family lives across the UK.
So the training has started, myself, Sean (my brother) and Anthony (work mate) are aiming to complete the walk/run in under 9 hours on the 20th May 2018
So if you have spare a full quid please sponsor the team.
