Holbrook Animal Rescue will need to relocate in the next few years to make way for the new 2,700-home development to the north of Horsham, and the search for a new location is underway. We need your help to continue our essential rehoming work

Story

I am walking 4 marathons, a total of around 110 miles, (so technically 4 ultra marathons) in 4 days along the South Downs Way, Winchester to Eastbourne. This is to help raise money and awareness for Holbrook Animal Rescue.

One of only two kennel-free animal rescues in the UK, Holbrook Animal Rescue is run by Laura and Cliff Santini alongside a group of dedicated volunteers. However, the charity does not own the land on which the rescue is built. Land in West Sussex is notoriously expensive, and in order to continue our essential rehoming work, we are calling upon the community in and around Horsham to help us to raise the funds to help build a new rescue centre. We are very proud of the environment we offer the dogs, horses, goats and countless other animals in our care, but without the support of the community, our future is uncertain. We need your help to continue to offer a safe, warm home for unwanted and abandoned animals for years to come.

We are a small community based rescue centre which saves abandoned animals and gives them shelter, love and attention. At Holbrook they are free and do not live in kennels. We provide veterinary care and neutering and find them loving homes or give them a forever home with us.
