Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for my Ironman 70.3 Triathlon challenge.
Most would agree that the thought of combining a 1.2mile swim with a 56mile cycle with a 13.1mile run all within 8 hours seems a tall order. For those that know me would know that for a big lump like me this will be a very big ask indeed. Training is going well although extremely tiring I am managing 9 sessions accross 6 days follwed by a much needed rest day. I am taking part in Sprint and Olympic distance triathlon's building up to the long distance event.
On 25th July 2010 myself & my good friend and training partner Adrian Patterson will be starting & completing in the Anwerp Ironman 70.3 triathlon. The reason for this is simple, to raise much needed funds for Cancer Research UK. Funds raised will directly help Cancer Research UK continue with their valuable work. One in three of us may get some form of Cancer during our lives. Most of us will have already known either family or friends that have been effected in some way. Please give what you can, anything will help. Messages of support or abuse are both welcome and will be tolerated if you have donated!!! I will be sending reminders!! Thank you.
