I've celebrated being 50 this year and have been lucky enough to share my adventures with my friends. As one last sign off I roped the guys above into an event to give thanks and realise how lucky we are.

We have done many things together and the 100 miles of RideLondon might just be a step too far, but we heard about a good friend at our Golf Club whose son Ethan, a junior member is suffering from a very rare bone cancer Osteofibrous Displasia like Adamantinoma.

There is no cure, no chemo,and at some point Ethan will need surgery, consisting of wide resection or amputation in order to arrest the condition. For any adult this is traumatic, but for a young 10 year old I can't begin to Imagine. Ethan loves his golf, plays with his Grandad, "Stormy" to his mates and loves to ride his bike. We know that Ethan's condition is constantly being screened. As bone Cancers go Ethan's is the rarest making up 1% of bone cancers with only 70 cases in the last 30 years.

Deb, Vic and Ethan are all members of the fabulous Branston Golf and Country Club know for its generosity. Ethan is a Club Junior, a very Brave Boy, Our team mascot and our inspiration. We are riding for him and the other Kids fighting their own individual battles. We not asking much, just a small contribution, your support but moreover support for Ethan, his family and the many other families affected by KIds with Cancer.

If you would like to see 3 old boys cross the line, then the Mall in London on Sunday 31st July is the spot. Don't come too early, I reckon we need 8 hours and lots of cream!!! Thanks for reading we all totally appreciate any help and we might just 'make a difference'
