Hi,thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page, here's a few lines about what it's all about.

My journey started back in October 2012 being Challenged to complete the C2C as part of a fund raising event. Apart from a previous golf event I hadn't really put myself in a position to challenge myself and raise money at the same time, being too close to 50 and being invited into a very fit group of people, I was determined to ensure I could at least give it a fair go.

 At that time I was a shade under 14 stone and have over the last 5 months been training and sacrificing all those things I enjoyed without much thought, chocolate, bread, butter, biscuits, beer and bacon sandwhiches. The result, I am now 37 lbs lighter, I don't look so stupid in cycling gear, I've regained my sense of smell, and apparently I don't snore so much so I am looking forward to having a crack at the C2C.(coast to coast) in much better health...

My Mum suffered from Breast Cancer when I was in my teens which at the time I didn't fully understand or appreciate, all I can say, is that having lost friends and family to Cancer regardless of type, every little helps.
