Story
March 2013 - A message from Simon, Vicky and Becky -
Our commitment to raise funds for research into Epilepsy since tragically losing Lee has been matched by the amazing support from family, friends and complete strangers.
This site only shows a small percentage of the money raised in Lee's memory - the amazing Smile with the Stars Ball in February last year raised over £80,000!
This is a fantastic tribute to the memory of our beloved son.
We're competing in the Manchester 10k again this year, and all donations will go to Lee's Smile supporting Epilepsy Research UK - donations can be made directly at www.justgiving.com/leessmile
Lee's flatmates Dan Gathercole and Jonny Walsh are joining me, and you can sponsor them through the Lee's Smile page.
A massive thank you to everyone for your continued support - we really appreciate it, and we know Lee will be looking down with his unforgettable SMILE.
Why we have to research the causes and find a cure for epilepsy -
Our precious son, Lee, passed away suddenly in his sleep on December 12th 2010.
He suffered from epilepsy, but this was controlled by his medication. Neither Lee nor any of our family were aware that a siezure could kill, and as long as the condition was controlled, Lee would lead a normal life.
He did just that - through school, university, his career and his sporting achievements.
His death has had a profound effect on the hundreds of people he knew, and we are determined to ensure that he didn't die in vain by raising as much money as possible for research into epilepsy to prevent more tragic loss of life.
