Story
All heroes have their flaws, except for one - my dad.
He inspired me. He protected me. He encouraged me.
He taught me right from wrong. And he taught me the importance of family. He informed my core values of loyalty and integrity.
My dad passed away in September 2007 after putting up a good fight to beat cancer. During this time he was supported and cared for by the wonderful staff at The Christie.
We all know someone who has been touched by cancer. Cancer doesn't discriminate - it can take the good guys and our heroes. I want to do my bit to repay the kindness of everyone at The Christie and to help them in the fight against cancer.
We all need our heroes - and sometimes our heroes need our help too.
