Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and read my story.

I initially wanted to run the London Marathon this year for someone close to me who was born with Niemann Pick disease. Before I met her I had never heard of the condition and so wanted to use this as an opportunity to not only raise money but also awareness. Niemann Pick is so rare and because of this, there is very little information and very little funding to help treat the condition. Unfortunately the main charity for Niemann Pick were unable to get a place in the 2023 marathon. With that in mind I wanted to run for another charity who support children with terminal illnesses. I have chosen to run for Make A Wish UK who help create life changing wishes for Children with Critical Illnesses and help bring some light and joy and times of darkness for these children and their families.

Unfortunately we lost my Nan at the end of November and so I also want to run this marathon in memory of her. One of the last things I told her was that I am going to run the 2023 Marathon so of course I want to make her proud!
