We are the UK wide charity working to support seriously ill children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, hopefully you're not just browsing!

This my attempt to raise money for the Children's Hospices UK by walking from our office in Swindon to the Helen and Douglas House Children's Hospice in Oxford.

It's all  too easy for us all to sit in the office or the pub talking about charity and what a worthy thing it is but now has come the time for me to get off my backside and put my money where my mouth is.  Walking forty miles from Swindon to Oxford may not sound that far but it's the distance from London to Reading via the M4, 1.3 times the length of the channel tunnel, 2.5 times the length of the circle line or 64,000 metres.  It is amazing that in these technologically advanced times that we now live in that something as simple as taking 60,000 or so paces will help raise money for children who really need our support to make the most of the limited time that they have.

You will guess from the way that I describe it as simple that I haven't started training yet!  I will post updates (as opposed to progress reports) as the training miles increase and any problems are encountered.

Any donation that you can make for this amazing cause will be greatly appreciated, just follow the instructions below.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
