Fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Action
Fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Action
After running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in 2016 and declaring I'd never run a marathon, I've decided to enter the Valencia Marathon a year later and run it in memory of my Dad, George, who died of pancreatic cancer 11 years ago.
Fundraising isn't my strong point but this is a cause that means a lot to me. 40 years ago 3% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survived 5 years or more. Today that figure is still just 3%.
Pancreatic Cancer Action are a national charity dedicated to saving lives by improving early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and the quality of patient survival. Anything you can give would mean a lot to me and spur me on as I toil around the streets of Valencia on Sunday 19th November.
Thanks for your support.
Simon.
