Here we go again!
This time we're going bigger!
Once again I'm spending 4 days up in the mountains, this time taking on one of two peaks (COVID depending!) each around the 4200-4400m mark.
Last years Paradiso climb summit day was arguably one of the hardest 17 hours straight of trekking/climbing I'd ever done. Completely knackering, and wanting to quit several times. So its only right that now I want to do it all over again.
Remember - I am not a super fit athlete. I'm a slightly overweight middle aged web developer, with joints that creak and pop like an old sail boat.
Once again I'm raising for Ed's charity M2M.
'Millimetres to mountains creates positive change for people facing adversity as a result of mental health challenges. Through exploration and adventure we inspire and support individuals to redefine their own limitations and take steps towards a brighter future.'
Thanks to everyones kind donations last year, this year M2M climbs are including beneficiaries - who now get to experience the beauty of the mountains, and leave with hopefully a totally new outlook on life whether they have faced physical or mental trauma.
I've lowered my fund raising goal a little this year, simply because I'm aware I've climbed a few now and everyone has already been so generous. But if you have a spare few pounds to throw my way, it will no doubt help me push my little stumpy legs to the top of another Alpine beast.
As per all my previous climbs - every penny I raise is going to the charity.
