Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

There - I have done it! My body tells me I am mad! But I know this is for a great cause. I have entered the Cheltenham Half marathon!

I am running this to raise much-needed funding for Parkinson's UK. A charity which is very close to our hearts.

Seeing a very close friend of mine, who has always been adventurous, determined and inspirational, struggle with this cruel condition is truly heartbreaking.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) occurs when brain cells that make dopamine, a chemical that coordinates movement, stop working or die. PD is a lifelong and progressive disease, which means that symptoms slowly worsen over time.

But, for now, we are still managing to get together on a weekly basis for a walk on the hill or watch the weeds grow on the allotment.

To help me on my way to achieving this 13-mile goal, I'm looking for some help from my friends, in the form of some sponsorship.

Please help me to raise money and awareness for Parkinson's UK. Thank you.
