Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Why am i doing this: Last year i was involved in a road accident which has made me realise that life is to short, material things are not important, friends and family are, and there are people less fortunate than yourself. I was fortunate enough to walk away from that accident, but with cancer its not always the case. The last two years Nigel Colclough gave up his time to drive and support some of the lads in raising money for others. Now fate has dealt Nigel the cruel blow that is cancer. Unfortunately Nigel lost his fight against cancer on the 21st of August this year. Also a couple of the riders have lost parents very recently to cancer. So now, in honour of Nigel and my friends parents , its our turn to help other families not to have to go through what they have been through. . Cancer knows no boundaries and does not care whose life it affects. Some cancer patients do beat this horrible illness, that does not just affect them but also a lot of close friends and family. Some cancer patients are less fortunate and that's where Douglas Macmillan come in, and it takes approximately £30,000 a day to run this amazing hospice and its all from donations. Unfortunately we probably all know someone who has been affected by this cruel illness. So myself and group of friends are attempting to ride from Lands End to John o Groats in just nine days. That's about 120 miles a day, in order to try and raise enough money to run The Douglas Macmillan Hospice for a day. Please if you can do your good deed for the day by donating towards this worthwhile cause i would be eternally grateful. You can also text the word SIME77 with the amount to 70070.
