Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Myself and Peter Oliver had this crazy idea last year that we could try to cycle to Plymouth for an away game. Of course it never happened but the seed was sown. The crazy idea of riding from John O'Groats to Land;s End was discussed and we decided we would give it a go. pete oliver did a triathlon in his 40th year so this is another crazy thing to have a go at in his 50th year.
Peters daughter Amy is working for Lloyds bank and their chosen charity is the Alzheimer's Society (some might say i am investing in my future!). I promised I would help with her fund raising hence my chosen charity.
The other worthy cause we are riding for is the Springhill Hospice, Rochdale where, sadly, one of our friends died recently. He was well looked after and we decided to give something back to them if we could. I am riding for Springhill Hospice in memory of our late great friend Neville Stanley.
Please think of us between the 16 and 24 May when we will be toiling down hill towards Land's End, we will post regular updates on facebook as to our progress. Up the Dale! we will be doing approx 900 miles on a bike
