HCPT has been a big part of my life for many years and is a charity that offers children and adults with disabilities the opportunity of travelling to Lourdes as part of a HCPT Family Group during Easter week. Having been a helper with HCPT since the age of 16, I have been to Lourdes many times with Keighley (Group 58), RAF Group 187 and Otley Group 198. It was with Otley Group 198 in particular (founded by my Dad and Mum) in particular that HCPT became very much an extension of my immediate family and even though my Mum (Sandra) is sadly no longer with us, my Dad (Andrew) and brother Peter still travel to Lourdes with Otley to this day. In fact, Peter is also completing the HCPT Cycle 2023 and I am very much looking forward to completing not only the HCPT Cycle, but also Route des Grandes Alpes with him shortly after we have completed the first cycle across France. 

The HCPT Cycle 2023 is a supported ride that will see over 25 riders cycling 550 miles across France from the Palace of Versailles to Lourdes over 7 days from Saturday 1 - 7 April 2023.

The Routes des Grande Alpes is a ride that my brother and I will be completing over 7 days from 27 May - 3 June 2023  with a couple of our close friends and our Dad supporting this venture in the campervan...! This ride will see us riding 435 miles from Thonon- Bains to Nice with a total of 30,000 metres of climbing taking in the amazing high altitude landscapes that the French Alps have to offer.
