I'm taking on the Great North Run 2021 to support families facing dementia across the UK. Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving them compassionate one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions that can be difficult to find elsewhere.

I have chosen Dementia UK because it has an impact on most families at some point during our lives, including mine. If we can raise a little to help, then this will spur me on to run my first ever half marathon, and help aid this amazing cause
