Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 29th April Chris Smith- my partner's Dad had a heart attack at Twickenham - whilst watching the rugby.  The combined actions of some nurses in the crowd, St Johns ambulance, and London Ambulance saved his life.  They shocked him twice to get his heart working again and continued as a team caring for him- but also for my partner, her sister and my daughter.  Without the swift action of the St John's volunteers he might not be here today, and as a family we are eternally grateful.

So i am running this half marathon as a thankyou to them, but also for a selfish reason.  I have realised i need to look after myself better, so having this target will help me get fitter- and hopefully avoid the same thing happening to me.  Whether that is a good thing or not - I will leave you to decide.
