Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On June 12th I successfully completed the 1 mile sponsored tidal swim in the Camel Estuary from Padstow to Rock in Cornwall in typical inclement Cornish weather to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care Nurses who care for terminally ill patients and their families.
The Marie Curie Cancer Care Charity was founded in 1948 and is dedicated to providing specialist homes for cancer care, providing nursing for patients in their own homes and educating the public on the symptoms and treatment of cancer.
There are more than 2,000 Marie Curie Nurses in the U.K. who provide free care to patients approaching the end of their lives facilitating a dignified death in patients' own surroundings thereby relieving other family members from having to provide 24 hour care in the home.
I am hoping that you will feel this is a worthy cause. It may be that like me, you have experienced the impact of cancer on a close family member.
Any donation however large or small will be gratefully received and put to good use so please donate through JustGiving which is simple, fast and totally secure.
