We fund research and raise awareness to shine a light on Lewy body dementia

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m running the London Marathon 2020 to raise awareness and donations for the The Lewy Body Society.

My cousin’s husband, Peter Anderson, died in 2019 after 6 years with Lewy body dementia, a horrible disease that affects sufferers both physically and cognitively.

The Lewy Body Society is an organisation supporting sufferers and their families as well as undertaking important research into the disease.

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.
