Story
On the 22nd of September my beautiful daughter Indie was born 11 weeks premature with what turns out to be a severe heart problem. Life has totally been turned up side down.
We now live in the Ronald McDonald House, Southampton. This house is funded by charity to offer support and accommodation for parents with very poorly children so they can be close to their child. This facility is a total life saver and we would be financially screwed without it. It costs the charity £25 per night to house a family. There are 53 rooms which are fully booked every night. Living there means we are never more than 5 minutes away from our daughter.
MY GOAL is to try and row as far as possible each day during the most difficult time of my life, to help myself, Ronald Mcdonald House, and to highlight how exercise can help manage stress.
You can track my progress during this challenge on the Concept 2 website;
Competition runs from November 24th - December 24th.

Why rowing you may ask? It's been a passion of mine for a while now and I planned to use exercise as a way of managing stress but I found myself in a situation where I was unable to train.
This is where a company called Fitness Matters LTD came to my rescue and with thanks to Alex Dunne from Concept 2UK I was loaned a rower for 2 months.
By doing this I hope to raise a few quid and awareness of not only the Ronald McDonald Houses but also the positive effects of exercise in relation to stress management.
If you have appreciated my updates or respect the challenge I'm undertaking then would you sponsor me the price of a pint!? and maybe again once it's completed. It's not like I can come for xmas drinks with anyone this year.
