Story

With my relatively new found passion for running, which helps to bring me balance, the pandemic was such a hard period for most, and for me it has certainly been no different. One of the many things to miss has been adventure, and now with the Marathon Des Sable in my sites, it is adventure that might now be just round the corner.

As my 5th Ultra, this one is the most well known and takes me over 250kms through the Sahara, over 6 days. This is a self sufficient race, which means other than water, everything needs to be carried by me. This is BRUTAL and one that will challenge the soul and this time I will be raising money for Blue Smile...a beautiful childrens charity based in Cambridge, that concentrates on childrens mental health. This is something that for me, with 3 little ones, means such a lot and the funds raised will contribute to a great deal of wonderful young things.

I truly understand that everyone has their own issues, but any amount of money will go a long way and help me on this endeavour. For now, wish me luck and with unimaginable pain in my body, particularly feet, adventure and positive thinking awaits:) POW POW!
