Story
On February 12th 1979 I had a kidney transplant after a couple of years on dialysis. This means that on 12/02/2019 my kidney (called Fred Kidney as soon as it was adopted !) will celebrate 40 years on loan to me. I wish to mark this by raising funds for the Renal Unit at Dorset County Hospital to help patients currently undergoing dialysis. The focus specifically is on enabling home dialysis : I started dialysis in hospital and was effectively living to dialyse, on being converted to home dialysis that changed to dialyse to live such was the freedom it gave me. My campaign will last for a year from the 40th anniversary date and consist of a number of events; I very much hope you will be able to help me with some of them, either by giving your time to join in with them or your support financially.
