Team Tizzy know that together we are stronger. So they are doing all they can to support families effected by mitochondrial disease and fund vital research to find better treatments and a cure.

Story

I'm running this Sunday in memory of Tirion, much loved daughter of my collegue Helen Ray, who sadly died aged just 22, less than four years after being diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease.

Tirion and her family were supported by The Lily Foundation, and I'm hoping this will raise awareness of this terrible condition and generate some much needed and welcomed funds.

The Lily Foundation is run by a small team of dedicated staff backed by a medical board drawn from the UK's top centres for Mitochondrial research, the Lily Foundation forms a vital link between patients, doctors and medical science bodies.
