In 2005 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and had to undergo a major operation ( colectomy) and then have 6 months of intensive chemotherapy. Thankfully all is well now thanks to the NHS and the support of my family.

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer, and it is vital that more people become aware of how it can affect so many people.

Beating Bowel Cancer is a UK charity dedicated to saving lives from bowel cancer by raising awareness and providing patients and families with support.
