Story

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On April 1st I am running the Reading Half Marathon on behalf of our Charity Basingstoke Hoima Partnership for Health. Our aim is to improve health care for the people of Hoima Uganda; Particularly the care of mothers and babies. Please visit the website for info on various Charity projects: http://www.bhph.org.uk.

I've been lucky enough to have worked with the charity in Uganda twice now and would like to raise money with the intention of sending more volunteers to help at Hoima Referral Hospital.

As you can see from the picture, I'm running with my dad who is also running for the charity: www.justgiving.com/robert-bates-bhph

We will be hitting the tarmac hard over the next 3 months with the view to post not-too-embarrassingly-slow times and welcome your support and encouragement!

It goes without saying that every penny counts, so please dig deep for the women and children of Hoima.

Thanks for your support J

Simon
