We’re ZSL, an international conservation charity, and our vision is a world where wildlife thrives. We’re working every day to achieve this, through our science, our field conservation around the world and engaging millions of people through our two Zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.

Story

Some of you probably know that I've been volunteering at ZSL London Zoo for around a year and a half.

This year I've decided to do something to raise a bit of extra money to help out with ZSL's Tiger SOS program, so on Thursday 21st Nov I will be taking part in the ZSL Fire Walk.

Please donate what you can to stop me worrying about the potential of burnt feet!

For those of you that are curious, here is some info about ZSL's work with Sumatran Tigers in the wild:

"In just 70 years, three, possibly even four, subspecies of tiger have become extinct in the wild. With numbers dwindling to just 300 wild individuals, if we don’t act now the Sumatran tiger will be next.

ZSL aims to raise £2million by 2013, in a bid to Give Tigers a Tomorrow. ZSL will develop a conservation centre and home for Sumatran tigers at ZSL London Zoo and fund crucial conservation projects for their wild counterparts"

ZSL are raising funds to support three major projects in Indonesia's Berbak National Park:

Anti-Poaching Patrols

Tiger Corridors

Save the Forest, Save the Tiger

If you can afford to donate, please do. After the tragic news regarding London Zoo's tiger cub you will know how much these animals need our help.
