Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Simon Avery and in May 2010 i was 30 years old with two young boys. Three days before i was due to get married i was diagnosed with a rare form of Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma called Primary Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma ( CANCER ).
I was treated at Milton Keynes Hospital Macmillan Ward, where i underwent eight months of intensive chemotherapy followed by a month of radiotherapy.
Due to the care, dedication and support from the staff at the Macmillan Ward and the treatment i recived i am now in remission from this aggressive cancer. This treratment cost in the region of £360,000 and without the NHS i would not be here today.
To say thank you for the care and attention i recieved during my treatment, i have planned a Charity Golf Day at Abbey Hill Golf Course. This golf day is on Friday the 3rd of August 2012. The golf day has had excellent interest and a lot of teams confirmed to play in the event.
The reason i have set this page up, is that not everyone can attend the golf day or evening do and if you wish to support me you can do so here.
I know that times are tough for everybody, but every penny raised will go to Milton Keynes Hospital Macmillan Ward to help them support someone else like me.
So please dig deep and donate now .
Thank you
