Team requested by: John Wake Team name Olive Rush Team kit: Joma Team colour: Pink Team manager: Spencer Cole & Paul Jones Team sponsor: Jasun Envirocare Plc Olive Rush was Born on the 7th of January 1942 in Frome, Somerset during the war. She was born in a big posh house and would remind everyone, anyone if fact at any opportunity possible. Olive married her first husband, our grandad, John Davis at 17. They had 4 children together; Davina, Yvonne, Chris and Janice. Sadly, John passed away in 1985 from Liver cancer, this Broke my Nan's heart. After some time, Olive later remarried to Danny Rush who taught her to live and love again as well as helping to fulfill some of her goals, accompanying her to her dream travel destinations. Danny sadly passed away in 1999. Olive dedicated over 50 years to raising money and support for the British Legion as the poppy organiser for Havant. In 2020 she was recognised for her hard work and nominated to attend a Royal garden party at Buckingham Palace. Due to Covid this was suspended in 2020 and 2021. Luckily, in 2022 she attended and finally was able to live out one of her dreams, she was so proud to have been a part of a Royal occasion. In 2019 Olive was admitted to hospital as he heart was struggling. During the tests they found a tumour on the inside of her left lung, due to her age and the close proximity to her heart, any chance if it being surgically removed was ruled out. After 2 years of Chemotherapy, radiotherapy and Immune therapy, there seemed to be no sign of improvement. Olive made the decision to end treatment and enjoy her remaining time with all her family and friends. On the 19th of September 2022, Olive took her last breath with her son Christopher, Granddaughter Claudia and myself close by her side. Olive was one of a kind and always wanted to be involved with us grandchildren, whether it being stupid videos like the Harlem Shake, doing shots with us before a night out or even eating the world's hottest chilli. She will be sadly missed and our memories together will last forever.
