Story
Dear friends,
My name is Sikander Mahmood and I am a member of the Yorkshire chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA).
This year, I am fundraising for a UK registered charity, "Humanity First" (Reg 1135657), who will build a free eye clinic in Ghana, Africa, in the memory of our previous Regional Youth Leader, Kamal Aftab, who sadly died due to blood cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia) at the age of 32.
Kamal was an optometrist by profession. He had a great passion to serve humanity and pursue charitable activities. He had climbed mountains, ran several marathons and had the opportunity to raise tens of thousands of pounds for several UK charities. He won the '2014-2015 Guardian National Volunteer of the year' for his services to mankind. Kamal's full story can be read here: https://bloodwise.org.uk/blog/kamals-50k-Leukaemia-marathon
I am taking part in a 10K run as well in the annual "Mercy4Mankind Charity Challenge" of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) UK to encourage people from across the UK to raise money for British Charities by running, hiking or cycling!
The main event of the Mercy4Mankind Charity Challenge will take place on 8 July 2018 in Rother Valley Country Park, Sheffield.
I request you to sponsor me and help me to raise £5000 to open a free eye clinic in Ghana. The cost of one eye operation is £50 and by donating that small amount you can bestow the gift of sight to a needy person who can't see the physical beauty of this world.
Come forward and click on the link below and donate the cost of one eye operation which is £50 or however much you can. Thanks a lot !
