Story
I am 18 years old studying Childhood Studies at the University of Bristol. More than ever before there is a crisis in child poverty with the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, together with the associated social distancing and lockdown measures, have had a substantial impact on health and public freedom.
Thus, it is even more essential to support charities such as the Children Society:
Children society are a national charity, working with young people supporting them through abuse, homelessness, and mental health issues. They campaign tirelessly for the big social changes that will improve the lives of those who need hope most. They have been doing this for 140 years and won't stop until they have built a society where hope is alive in every child.
To raise money for this amazing charity I will be running a total of 200 miles from the 5th of November up until Christmas day. Any donations are hugely appreciated !!
£10 could provide travel to 3 support sessions, starting a child's journey to recovery
£30 could help a child who is homeless find somewhere to live
£50 could provide counselling to help a traumatised child regain hope
