Story
My name is Sienna Heath and I am 12 years old. I have raised money for WARS before doing a sponsored walk. I have decided that during lockdown I would like to help them further by running the distance from Worcester to London. I will be running each day with a family member for the next few months until we have accumulated the miles to get to London.
Here is the information about the charity that I am supporting;
At Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter, we take in unwanted, abandoned & unloved animals every day of the year. We believe that every animal deserves the chance to find a loving home, & we'll do everything we can to make sure that happens. As we adjust to this new way of life, we will continue to be there for those animals that need us. But we are facing a severe funding shortfall. The coronavirus has meant we've had to change the way we work to keep everyone safe. We've had to cancel all our fundraising events & our ability to re-home animals has been affected. Our income is down & we face a very uncertain future. It costs over £450 a day to keep our Shelter running & provide the expert care & attention all our animals deserve. We can't do this without your help. We need your support to ensure we can be there for every animal that needs us in the future. Please consider making a donation to our appeal - any amount makes a difference, no matter how big or small. Thank you.
