By the sheer generosity of our friends, family and others, we have been able surpass our target of sponsoring 3 orphans before the 1st September - when our challenge officially begins!

We will keep the page open and welcome further donations to keep supporting more vulnerable children. There is no limit to what we can achieve when we work together! .

My sisters Zaynab, Safiyyah and I are committed to walking a hundred miles each throughout the month of September (no easy feat for us couch potatoes). We are doing this in the hope that you will support us in raising vital funds to sponsor 3 orphans in Yemen. 

We lived in Yemen for a long time and little Saffo was born there, so it is a country close to our heart. The war has displaced many and resulted in the creation of thousands of orphans. 

Your support will be greatly appreciated by me, my sisters, the team at Rafah International working tirelessly on this campaign, and most importantly the people of Yemen 🇾🇪. 

Many orphans in Yemen have been left to fend for themselves in a brutal war, many are starving and homeless.The UN estimates that 130 children under the age of 5 in Yemen die each day from hunger and disease. Rafah International supports orphans in the city of Tarim and the surrounding area. Tarim is situated in the Hadramawt Valley. There are currently more than 85 orphans waiting to be sponsored. 

For £250 a year per orphan Rafah will provide them with necessities such as 

- Daily Meals 

- Pocket Money

- Clothing

- School Bag

- Medical Treatment

- Monitoring and care.
