Story

Thanks for following the link to my JustGiving page.

The first Yorkshire Marathon takes place on October 20th in York and I, slightly apprehensively, am a fully signed up participant.

Taking part in this run has been triggered by several events

Tragically, I have had two young cousins who were both childhood friends pass away this year aged 30 and 32. Ian and James are desperately missed and these losses have spurred me on to bring some positive out of a very sad time. Ian's parents chosen charity is the British Heart Foundation and as such I have elected to try to raise as much money as possible for them

Many thanks for any donations. Coronary Heart disease is the single biggest cause of death in the UK and is particularly pertinent to my family.

(This decision to run was also stongly influenced (coerced) by Charlie Cudworth, to complete a marathon before he lost all his hair and mine all went grey - both seemingly imminent.)
