I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Team Prost8, supporting Prost8 UK's 1 in 8 campaign.

In the next 10 years, more than 500,000 men will be diagnosed with
prostate cancer here in the UK. Right now even those with low-level
treatable cancer will be given the same invasive, life-changing
treatments as those with advanced cancer - unnecessarily.

Up to 120,000 of those men could have better, minimally invasive
treatments, but the rollout of this in the NHS is being measured in
years, not months. So those thousands of men will all have lifestyle
damaging treatment, when there are better outcomes available.

Prost8 UK is raising the funds to buy, donate and deploy an initial 6
focal therapy suites into strategic, forward-thinking NHS hospitals
across the UK to accelerate access to this life-changing, and
life-saving, treatment at a cost of £3m.
