Walk for Christine is a 10 mile walk from Beacon Hill to Bradgate Park in Leicestershire and will take place on the 9th of April 2011. The walk is in loving memory of Christine Owens who sadly passed away on the 3rd of December 2010. She was a wonderful wife, mum auntie and friend and is dearly missed by those who were lucky enough to know her.

 

Christine suffered from the debilitating disease Parkinson’s for 23 years of her life. All money raised from this walk will be donated to the very deserving charity Parkinson’s UK.  Parkinson’s UK is the largest charity fundraiser for Parkinson's research in the UK and offer friendship and support to those living with Parkinson's disease, their families and carers.
