Story
Just over two years ago, my sister, Mair was diagnosed with Multi Myelomoa - a bone marrow cancer. With this came a long time in hospital and a variety of complex conditions as a result of the Cancer.
Prior to her illness Mair was given the nickname of "Mountain Goat" whilst us three sisters took on various adventures together, including a 26 mile trek along Hadrian's Wall.
Kidney Wales has given Mair great support and guidance during the time she has been ill. They have also sought her expertise to guide and help other people who have experienced similar kidney related difficulties along the way.
We, her siblings, wanted to "give something back " as a thank you to Kidney Wales for all they have done and continue to do for Mair. We will miss our "Mountain Mair" but we know she will be with us all the way in spirit. Glyn, Gwyneth and myself have signed up to their Snowdon Sunset Trek on 18th September 2021 as a fund raising event.
I would appreciate ANY donations for this great cause. It will go some way to say a big "Thank you" for all they continue to do for kidney patients.
