Charlotte and I both work on Gate 6B, an acute neurosurgical Ward at Southmead Hospital. We have decided to run Bristol 10k to raise money for equipment and resources essential in providing best patient care.

The North Bristol NHS Trust Adult Neurosurgery Department is a central referral point providing Adult Neurosurgical care for Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire and the city of Bristol. We care for patients with head and spinal injuries, tumour removals, life changing neurological conditions, post operative patients for complex neurosurgical interventions, bleeds on the brain and so much more. We require very specialised equipment and resources in order to optimise our patients quality of life and our provision of care. Our budget is limited and so our aim is to raise anything big or small to help. The money raised will help towards communication aids to help give our patients a voice or specialised seating as they are currently very limited.

Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will go straight to gate 6b at Southmead Hospital.
