Save the Children is facing one its biggest challenges ever. Due to the Covid pandemic , millions of children could die as coronavirus sweeps across nations already crippled by war and disaster. Children here in Wales are also suffering from the economic hardships as a direct result from the pandemic. Save the Children expects to see its revenues fall by millions of pounds this year due to volunteers being unable to raise money.
As volunteers in Wales, to help raise funds, we have set ourselves the challenge of walking the length of the Wales Coastal Path- 870 miles ( or the equivalent distance within our inland areas) in the lead up to the big annual fund raising day Christmas Jumper Day on 11th December.
My personal challenge is to walk a 25 mile section of the path.I will be out walking in all weathers during some of Wales' stormiest months. Those of you who know me will know what a challenge this will be - I'm a sun and heat girl through and through! However, I'm determined to succeed. So please donate what you can to help children both overseas and here in Wales

Mae Achub y Plant yn wynebu un o'i heriau mwyaf. Oherwydd pandemig Covid, gallai miliynau o blant farw wrth i'r coronafirws ledu ar draws gwledydd sydd eisoes wedi'u chwalu gan ryfel a thrychineb. Mae plant yma yng Nghymru hefyd yn dioddef caledi economaidd fel canlyniad uniongyrchol i'r pandemig. Disgwylir y bydd Achub y Plant yn gweld lleihad o filiynau o bunnoedd eleni oherwydd anallu gwirfoddolwyr i gasglu arian.
Ry'n ni, wirfoddolwyr yng Nghymru, er mwyn helpu i godi arian, wedi gosod sialens i'n hunain, sef cerdded hyd Llwybr Arfodir Cymru - 870 milltir (neu bellter cyfatebol o fewn ein hardaloedd) fel rhagarweiniad i ddiwrnod codi arian mawr blynyddol Dydd Siwmper Nadolig ar yr 11fed o Ragfyr.
Fy sialens benodol i yw cerdded cyfran 25 milltir o'r llwybr. Bydda' i mâs yn cerdded trwy bob tywydd yn ystod rhai o fisoedd mwya' stormus Cymru. Bydd y rheini sy'n fy 'nabod i'n sylweddoli faint o her fydd hyn - merch haul a gwres ydw i'n gyfangwbwl! Serch hynny, rwy'n benderfynol o lwyddo. Felly, plîs cyfranwch yr hyn allwch chi er mwyn helpu plant yng Nghymru a thu hwnt.
