Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
This year I'll be taking on some tough cycling challenges totalling around 1500 miles & would really appreciate your kind donation in raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The events I'll be taking part in are...
Fred Whitton Challenge on May 12th
Located in the Lake District, this 112 miler is the ultimate one day ride in the UK. The route totals of over 3900 metres of climbing, taking in five of the UK's hardest mountain passes including Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands and finishing with the brutal 33% gradient Hardknott & Wrynose Passes.
1000 miles in 7 days in the summer
As per the last couple of years, I'm aiming to cover 1000 miles in one week. That's only 150 miles a day for the first 6 days. I can then take the final day easy and just do 100 miles 😉
Nottingham to Brighton in a day
This will be a ride in excess of 200 miles taking me from my home in Beeston down to the (hopefully!) glistening English Channel at Brighton.
Rise Above Sportive in August
This event is organised by Mark Cavendish who also designed the 95 mile route - Mark also takes part on the day! The ride heads from Cheltenham racecourse into the Cotswold Hills, taking in the challenging Cleeve Hill amongst others & finally returning to finish back at Cheltenham racecourse.
Just a word on what a difference gift aid makes
Every gift you make to Macmillan – whatever its value – could be worth more at no extra cost to you just by choosing to Gift Aid it. Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs will add an extra 25p to every £1 you give to Macmillan.
It’s simple. As soon as you give your permission, the tax can be claimed back on your donation. This means that a £10 donation will be worth £12.50 and for every £50 gift, actually £62.50 will be received by the charity!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
