Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page in memory of Shushila Shah, a much loved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt and a loyal friend to many.
In April 2018, Shushila was diagnosed with inoperable and untreatable cancer. She accepted her fate whole heartedly with the most amazing courage and spirit, never once did she question “why me?” She endured a tremendous amount of pain during her battle with the cruel disease and never complained. The strength she showed was inspirational. She made plans to ensure her family knew exactly what needed to be done and minimised any problems they might have faced from her passing.
During her final few months she took great pleasure from things we all take for granted - a warm shower, peace and quiet, a greeting from a nurse and every single bite of her favourite foods.
“Although you are no longer with us the legacy and memories you leave behind will never fade. The most selfless and kind person we know. Forever in our hearts.”
We are raising money by participating in a 5k bubble rush for St Luke’s hospice in honour of Shushila Shah on the 23rd September 2018. Her beloved five grandchildren will also be participating. The care the hospice gave to our mother during the last few weeks of her life, along with the support they offered to the whole family during this difficult time was amazing. To show our appreciation, we would like to raise donations for this wonderful organisation.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.
