Story
Education is something that we take for granted in the UK. Unfortunately, in Kenya many children do not have the same opportunity to receive free and compulsory basic education. Article 53 of the Kenyan constitution gives children the right to free and compulsory basic education but in reality, they simply do not have the opportunity.
The Bouncing Ball Trust is working in partnership with the community of Bulati in Kajiado County, Kenya, on 6 exciting projects to develop their primary school and to improve the lives of the community. One of these projects is completing the development of two classrooms and an office at the Olkeju Bulati Primary School.
The primary school was partially constructed by a South Korean NGO before being handed over to the community. This project will ensure the completion of the school construction including a properly constructed toilet block and kitchen.
