Hayes Davidson are very proud to organise the HD5K Run for the 2nd year in a row to support the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Alan Davidson, the architectural visualisation pioneer and our founder, was thrilled to be able to attend the inaugural HD5K run in May 2018. Sadly, Alan died a few months later, he had been diagnosed with MND in 2012 and courageously bore the illness until his death last August.
Motor neurone disease (MND) describes a group of diseases that affect the nerves (motor neurones) in the brain and spinal cord that tell your muscles what to do. With MND, messages from these nerves gradually stop reaching the muscles, leading them to weaken, stiffen and waste. It is a cruel and terminal illness that decimates the mobility, communication and respiratory functions, leaving families and loved ones helpless in its wake.
Please support us to make a difference in the fight against this dreadful disease.
